George Washington saw many instances of what he believed could only be described as Divine Intervention.

Without Divine Providence, we may not have gained our independence nor have the Constitution under which we prosper.

Many things happened to George Washington throughout his life that can't be readily explained such as his military experience, his having escaped injury many times, while having a number of horses shot out from under him.

The belief that Divine Providence was responsible for his safety and for his being the first president convinced George Washington and others that this great nation was established by the hand of God.

I agree. Thank you Tara.

Divine intervention certainly explains the fog and cover at Manhattan when Washington was able to escape with the Army mostly intact. At Trenton. Again at Valley Forge.

And people today say that God played no part nor religion in our early founding of this great nation…. I have long disagreed with them. The founding fathers, indeed, my actual family, who is among them, felt that religion and godliness was a firm part of their beliefs in the new nation they founded.

I love these words of acknowledgement from our original commander-in-chief, showing his own faith in the Master Designer. God has indeed had His hand in our country and is still in control, despite what others may think or say.

🇺🇸 Divine Intervention vs an amazing number of perfectly timed coincidences...easy choice.

Washington had the advantage of being able to see it as it happened, most of us only recognize God's work in hindsight.

Thanks, TR 🇺🇲

And spoke of such on many occasions, as did many of the founding fathers. God’s hand in forming America used to be taught in schools, churches and told again and again by statesmen and politicians so we would know and never forget. What do we know… today?

George Washington was the embodiment of the foundation of our precious country. His faith in God directed his entire life. He didn’t hesitate to give Divine Intervention credit. Washington was a humble, godly man. The nation grew and prospered under him in contrast to the corruption in power today. Great quote, Tara.

What a different country we would be today if we had not kicked the Almighty out of the public square all those years ago.

While recognizing God’s provision, Washington conveyed so much humility toward the Grace of God. Today we still wonder why some people can’t acknowledge God’s influence but that is The Lord’s battle.

What many say is coincidence is simply the Hand of God directing the path of the faithful, by George. 🙂

Without a Godly faith, what brave soldier (in Washington’s command), would have marched forward towards the “English” invaders with a musket that only fired 2 rounds per minute? (Not by might….)

The Colonists had to know that the God they prayed to, held their welfare in His Hands!

Freedom is a vision that we can never (neglect), nor shall we forfeit for the comforts we have been enjoying for over 200 years of the American dream that, at times, requires sacrifices of a comfort. The enemies of a free nation never sleep……a neither should we!
