George Washington saw many instances of what he believed could only be described as Divine Intervention.
Without Divine Providence, we may not have gained our independence nor have the Constitution under which we prosper.
Many things happened to George Washington throughout his life that can't be readily explained such as his military experience, his having escaped injury many times, while having a number of horses shot out from under him.
The belief that Divine Providence was responsible for his safety and for his being the first president convinced George Washington and others that this great nation was established by the hand of God.
