Thank you Tara. I learn something from each of your posts and today is no exception. I knew almost none of the facts regarding President Taylor but you have packed quite a bit of information into today's article. Now I would like to know even more about his life. You provide very valuable information to your readers each day and I am very appreciative.

A sad tale indeed. He was a Military hero that got into politics. It seems to me his military career was a safer occupation than politics was. RIP

Very interesting post. Don't remember hearing much about him through American History classes. I am curious though why researchers might suspect murder as a cause of death? Was there something about his life or politics that would have given a motive for an assassin?

Very interesting to learn about President Zachary Taylor. Not much is known about him. Sad that his presidency was cut short. Sounds like he was a good man.

Every day I seem to learn something (or many somethings !) from reading these posts, and today was no different. The circumstances seem puzzling and curious. I do know that I really like cherries, but after today I think I’ll be cutting back !
