It's as if these great men could envision the future of what was to become the greatest governing experiment ever attempted! It's a shame how our government of the People and By the People has begun to devolve into "Of the Federal government, By the Federal government and For the ruling class who pull the strings!"

So many times we forget that the declaration was a sure thing. There were those who thought things could be worked out, that we could find a way to reconcile with the King and his parliament. It was only by the strength of will shown by those who loved freedom more than life that our history followed that path.
