I couldn't agree more Tara. It is imperative that we as individual citizens regroup and rededicate ourselves to this great nation. We must stand as one, as Mr. Bryant's brave demeanor demonstrated as he led his company in Vietnam. We need a common cause and looking to examples of heroes like William Maud Bryant is a good thing.
God bless William Bryant and God bless all who serve or have served this great nation. Thank you Tara for another MOH Monday.
It is always a humbling experience to read and learn about these great men and women. As a veteran (Army), these stories inspire me to put forth the effort to deserve the honor of being an American citizen and veteran.
Excellent story about a man who gave his all. Kudos to his son for making his MOH on display for others to be inspired and thankful for what he and so many others have done.
These stories are always so inspirational ! What if . . . . . The President created a team to select American heroes and publicly honor one each day ? Police, fire, military, and even everyday Americans, much like what Tara does but on an even more visible national, very publicized stage ? Just like Tara, this would inspire Americans. Thanks Tara, I love learning from your stories !
It’s always uplifting to read of our heroes like William Bryant. Remembering them is a way to continue to honor them, but that veteran was correct in saying that we need to also rededicate ourselves to our country like the ones who bravely fought and died. I was thinking today of a friend who led, looked after his troop and lost his life at 22 on a battlefield in Vietnam. Our heroes are never forgotten.
I ha have ridden in Run For The Wall twice. It is well worth Googling. I turned 18 in 1973 and failed my military physical as I am asthmatic. I carried the bios of 4 young men who died from my home town. I rode with many Vietnam veterans, Gold Star family members, and a couple of men who had been POWs. Honored and humbling. It is heartbreaking to visit.
“It is appropriate for us to use words on this occasion,” that veteran concluded, “but it is more fitting to rededicate ourselves to our country like those who fought and died.”
Yes. Perhaps today is a good day to do exactly that.
The United States of America is the Greatest, most Prosperous and Generous nation the world had ever known! We must tell the story of our nation’s founding and what our nation has done to save nations and the people of those nations from tyrany around the world,
Thank you, Tara, for this story of repeated heroism that saved the lives of many of his fellow troopers!
It's always a great day to honor those who make it possible!

Have you visited the Vietnam Memorial Wall Patty?

I agree, Tara. And I do that frequently.

Thank you William Maude Bryant for your dedication to your men and your country. Your bravery and courage is worthy of following your lead!
We are all Americans and reading this makes it clear it should be we, Americans. May God bless this Great Country
I love this story. From the Ballad of the Green Beret by Sgt. Barry Sadler.
Fighting soldiers from the sky
Fearless men who jump and die
Men who mean just what they say
The brave men of the Green Beret
Silver wings upon their chest
These are men, America's best
One hundred men will test today
But only three win the Green Beret
Trained to live off nature's land
Trained in combat, hand-to-hand
Men who fight by night and day
Courage take from the Green Berets
Silver wings upon their chest
These are men, America's best
One hundred men will test today
But only three win the Green Beret
Back at home, a young wife waits
Her Green Beret has met his fate
He has died for those oppressed
Leaving her his last request
Put silver wings on my son's chest
Make him one of America's best
He'll be a man they'll test one day
Have him win the Green Beret
As a little boy most of us played soldier and only dreamed of being a hero. He lived it and died it.
🇺🇲 It is exactly the time to do that.
Thank for sharing Sfc. Bryant's story, TR. 🇺🇸
Yes today is the day we should dedicate our self to being a citizen first and foremost.
Thanks Tara.
Thank you, Tara.
