Yes, freedom requires constant and consistent maintenance by everyone. Taken for granted, our freedoms erode quickly. Everywhere are those who seek to take advantage by gaining something at the expense of someone else.

Apathy is probably what most often causes freedom to become restricted.

Thank you Tara and thank you Nathaniel Greene.

Constant bloodshed is required.

Every story has to have a hero overcome an obstacle to accomplish a goal. The necessary character quality is courage. This isn't the absence of fear, but the perseverance through it to achieve a goal.

In 1776 we fought for our freedoms. We have continued to fight to keep our Nation from enemies, “foreign and domestic” until 1970’s. Since then our “domestic” enemies have had a free rein to destroy our Nation internally through legislation, socialist courts and education. Even some aspects of the Religious sects have chosen to destroy some of the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. I’m fearful that our Republic will soon become destroyed by wasteful spending and greed by those people whom have sworn allegiance to follow the law under the Constitution of the United States of America.

I remember reading about Nathaniel in school when I was a kid.

I wonder if it's even taught in school today 🤔

Thank you Tara 😊

The quote reminds me of John Stark, who is not only the subject of one of New Hampshire’s two statues in the National Statuary Hall Collection in the U.S. Capitol, but is also credited with New Hampshire’s state motto, “Live Free or Die.”

Here’s the link to my blog post about John Stark…
