Washington certainly had a deep respect and acknowledgment of Divine Intervention. His faith was a major influence in his life and effected his decision making. It would be wise to take his advice. Perhaps some measure of peace among us could be restored. Respect for God leads to respect for each other. Although one day is set aside for thanksgiving we can be thankful every day. I thank you Tara Ross for bringing us these great heartfelt words from a wonderful man who was perhaps the most powerful and revered man of his time in giving us the birth of our Nation. Like George Washington I too believe that without the blessings of God we would still be a part of the United Kingdom. So as we give thanks today, we need to humble ourselves and give Thanks to our living God.
