I knew of his tours to all the states and always admired his "grit" in making such long and difficult journeys with all the hazards of travel at that time. This, once again, speaks as to why Washington is so truly the 'Father of Our Country'!
Thank you Tara and God, thank you for George Washington. Without him, I seriously doubt that we would have won our Independence nor coalesced into a United States.
We certainly need a person with his qualities now to lead our nation back to a coalesced union of proud people not so seriously divided.
God please protect and keep the United States of America.
The Revolution was won and now the people had to be integrated politically, socially and economically through common interests and achievement that would give the states and their people a stake in the development and success of the country. So wise for Washington to take the initial step to pull people together over a large expansive country. As the country progressed the free flow of information, the freedom to innovate, invent and build tied the country together through interstate commerce and free markets. That could only happen in a country where freedom is paramount. God Bless America!

I never tire of hearing about the wisdom and common sense Washington displayed in his efforts to creative a unified nation. God bless him!
