TDIH: Washington on Debt
"There is no practice more dangerous than that of borrowing money."
On this day in 1797, Washington writes a letter. Should we laugh or cry at this quote? He'd surely be horrified at the situation in which we find ourselves.

I truly believe our Founding Fathers would be picking up their muskets at the situation we are in these days. It is truly sad to see how the politicians on both sides of the aisle have become leeches in our society
To answer your question: we should cry. I sure don’t hear much - if anything - from the major Presidential candidates about this topic and what they would do to address the national debt. It will mean making difficult decisions, but somebody better, and soon.
