I truly believe our Founding Fathers would be picking up their muskets at the situation we are in these days. It is truly sad to see how the politicians on both sides of the aisle have become leeches in our society

To answer your question: we should cry. I sure don’t hear much - if anything - from the major Presidential candidates about this topic and what they would do to address the national debt. It will mean making difficult decisions, but somebody better, and soon.

George Washington was correct and he would likely disown this country today.

Oh my! He and the other forefathers would be horrified at the mess we have become! Why can’t we learn from the ones who have gone before us and were wiser than we have been? Have a wonderful weekend, Tara.

That’s true nationally and personally. GW was a wise man who personally practiced what he preached. Division in his cabinet and in the country caused him much misery and national division is weakening us today. And we just keep printing money to win the support of some of the divisions in our country. This can’t end well.

Even well calculated, borrowing is based on suppositions and should be kept at a bare minimum. Make do with what you have, save aside a little bit at a time and when you have the needed funds and a bit more, then make considerations. Nobody knows the future.

If this debt continues to grow, Democrat or Republican, China will own the USA. China is continuing to buy more and more farmland in the USA, so look out for starvation. We are now a Nation of debtors and it gets worse every day that we do nothing about it. This November no matter how we vote, it will continue to get worse for another 4 years. Maybe during the 26 midterms we will elect more Congressmen that will make the tough decisions to work for the Balanced Budget and debt retirement, and eliminate foreign countries from buying land in the USA.

Washington would be angry, mad and disappointed in what we have done to our country! We borrow in order to by power, votes and let the politicians get rich..
