Yes, I do believe that the young generation would find inspiration and patriotism in stories of heroism such as the one of the USS Memphis and the brave men who wouldn't leave their post until all were safe. Thank you Tara for another MOH Monday. May God continue to bless the United States of America.

My father was a Chief Motor Machinist Mate in WW2. They had diesel instead of steam but their duty station was still below the water line.

You are so right about our military men. They face dangers outside of the battle field that are rarely considered. Whether it be training in a ships 5 inch gun mount, training for minesweeping operations or flight training, the dangers are real.

Three brave, unselfish, men, two of whom gave their all, to save others from a terrible fate!
