His example encouraged others to take that hill. Heartbreak Ridge was a location for many to die or forever remember those who did. RIP Sir! Thanks for your spirit to win and take care of those you led.
Thank you Tony Burris for your courage and bravery. I’m thinking this morning that our leaders would lead the country much better if MOH stories were required reading. Our military preserves a country for them to lead.
Wow. Sgt 1st Class Tony Burris was an amazing fighter who received the MOH posthumously, for his actions. I know that he must have fought in many battles before the one where he gave his life and it is impossible for me to understand how and why a person can be so oblivious to the danger. I salute you Sir. You are one of a few who would do what you did in Korea and the United States owes you a debt of gratitude. May God bless Mr. Burris and may God continue to bless all who have served or currently serve this great nation. Thank you Tara.
The courage of Tony Burris is beyond comprehension. His actions saved the lives of many others at the expense of his own. Like others before him he was a humble man. Men like Mr. Burris made a huge difference in the outcome of war.
Rest in Peace indeed. His bravery and leadership that protected those under his command, was also a great inspiration to his men that spurred them on to reach their goals. As with many other Medal of Honor recipients SFC Burris was also a Great leader and inspiration to his men.
