What a tremendous American! Yes, Dr. Young gave his life in service to his country. I am amazed at the number of individuals who came together to fight for and win the Independence of the USA. I am certain it was not a coincidence. The contributions made by this country have been indispensable in the advancement of knowledge and technology in our world. Much gratitude is due the many unknowns and less-knowns of the American Revolution such as Dr Thomas Young.
Indeed, Dr. Thomas Young is a man that I was fully unaware of. Like that "dirty little screw" in that watch, his actions were necessary for the events that led to our Revolution and ultimately to the independence of the American colonies.

We have to thank God for Dr. Young. It is further proof that God uses what he wills to accomplish his purpose. Whether a Deist or just simply a a non demonstrative Christian, God knows. Perhaps he was just one who lived a life hidden with Christ in God.
Dr. Thomas Young seems to have been lost in history. We know there are many more like him. It doesn’t take away from their courageous actions. His actions made a difference in the outcome for this country. Thanks for sharing his unknown story, Tara.
Thank you Tara. Dr. Thomas Young is a man to whom we owe quite a lot, but as you knew, I had not heard of before today. It often happens that the originator of an action or a leader of a way of thinking are not remembered in history.
Dr. Young may have been dismembered because he was a diest but what he accomplished in the name of freedom was important to the actions that precipitated our independence.
