Theodore "Spuds" Ellyson pioneered Naval Aviation because of luck and his desire to be at the forefront of innovation. Men such as Mr. Ellyson are what has always made America great. A spirit of adventure and innovation. Thank you Tara for another obscure but important fact of our history.

In the modern climate, that spirit of innovation is still present. It is not uniquely American, but it is part of the core American characteristics that thrive in our society. This bit of history, and others like it, will inspire young Americans. Well done, Tara!
