This discovery that you're a mere human is quite disheartening, but it does give the rest of us the glimmer of hope we need to keep going. Hopefully, the problem with your pipes can be resolved quickly and with little expense.
Totally understandable. We have all been in similar situations at some point. Thanks for diligently sharing these history treasures with us every week.
I pray your repairs will be quick and relatively inexpensive and that you will get some well deserved rest.
It is contained to the closet, which is a good thing. The rest of the house is relatively unaffected. (Except now all the floors are dirty from all the trudging back and forth to get stuff out of the closet. LOL.)
I can feel your pain. Here in McKinney, Texas we have had 4 consecutive days of subfreezing temperatures. Your problem is worse than mine, but I am not looking forward to my water bill coming the first of the month. Also I hate wasting all of that water down the drain.
I am so sorry for your loss. Make sure you get a certified loss claim remediation so when you go to sell your house and have to state the water damage you will have the report that states your property was certified of no mold issues. Voice of experience from last year.
Oh my! I can’t like this, Tara. So sorry this happened to you. 😔 Hope you can get it fixed quickly and not too costly. Here you are sharing a story...doesn’t matter if it’s a repeat. You’re always thinking of your loyal followers. Look forward to MOH account on Monday. Good luck with the repairs. Been there, done that from the hard freeze several years ago.
I wish you speedy repairs, honest workmen, and minimal damage. I believe that the hand of Providence guides that, not random luck. Sincere best wishes, Mary
I don't know how I got the water damage people out so quickly, but I got lucky. Maybe my post was the first to buckle. LOL. They are surely slammed by now.
I'm glad they came out so quickly. I am seeing post after post on my neighborhood Facebook page about people asking for help with their pipes. I hope there was minimal damage and enjoy your weekend!
Life happens. You’ve got this. Hindle, what do you need to handle and we will be here when you get back. Your audience loves you a lot. You are a valuable asset to all of us and even to our country.
I am sorry it happened to you - know it must have created quit a mess and was very disheartening after all you did to prevent it. I hope it can be fixed quickly and that it won't cost you an arm and a leg. Take care, don't fret - know we all will be waiting for your next story whenever you can get to it.

Hang in there . Take care of yourself and get back to us later.

Yikes Tara. We'll miss your history lessons, but your home and health are FAR more important... Be well...

I am maybe 25 miles south of you. More freezes tonight and the next two nights! Ugh.

Ugh. Sorry you had to do this a few years ago. :(

So sorry to hear about your closet! Take care of yourself first. Your readers will understand. Good luck.
Ugh! I'm so sorry Tara! These polar vortexes are not kind to us Texans. Hope you can get it fixed promptly.

Sorry Tara. Praying for you. We will all be here when you are able to make it back!
My goodness! What a mess. Very understandable. This is that time of year & piping that runs in the attic is the worst. Get it fixed we’ll see you then
Best of luck Tara with all that.
Hoping and praying for a good outcome 🙏🏼 ✨️
I feel your pain... from a fellow Texan!
Ha! Our houses are not built for this!
I am sorry you have this mess to deal with. Do what you have to do. We’ll survive.
