“I am fighting for my kid so he won’t have to fight the Communists,” Stanley Adams said. “You have to fight them sometime and I’d rather do it than have my son do it.”
What an incredible act of bravery Adams and those that followed him did! Hand to hand combat bullets and grenades exploding everywhere yet they continued. Sad now that we are fighting communism at home and in or government. Sergeant Adams and his men were willing to die to keep people free. So sad that many today don't understand the evils of socialism/communism! Great MOH Monday story!!
I am thankful for the men and women that hear the call to duty. I am proud of the men that [in spite of fears] put on the gear and went after the enemies of “freedom” for my generation! As my father was in WW2 m, Korea, (the Chosin Reservoir), and Vietnam, I never heard him complain about the hardships or the things he had to endure. I still look at his Purple Heart (with clusters) and wonder, “Where does such selfless courage come from?”
We pray for that same courage for the young Marines that train at Camp Pendleton USMCB, (2 miles away from us. I hear their cannons and rifle-fire, and the helicopters roar over our house, everyday and I am thankful for their brave hearts before they get on planes to depart for the war zone(s).
Another unimaginable hero doing hand to hand combat with deadly results while badly outnumbered and while injured, Sergeant 1st Class Stanley Adams was awarded the MOH for extreme bravery in Korea. Adams was a veteran of a previous war but his desire to rid the world of communism caused him to remain in the Army. He earned the right to be called an American Hero. God bless Sgt 1st Class Alwin and all who serve or have served this great nation. Thank you Tara for another MOH Monday.
Sgt. 1st Class Stanley Adams almost seemed like a one man squad by himself, let alone those that charged up those hills along with him. Was it his prior service in WW 2 that caused his drive to attack? We can't be sure, however his audacity and determination made all of the difference that night. His actions are another reason reason our MOH awardees should be remembered.
LTC Adams went on to serve in Vietnam before he retired! 🇺🇲🇺🇸

Sadly, they vote in favor of it.
