If Washington was the “old fox,” then you, Tara Ross, are the vixen with that ending! You certainly know how to get us back! I love how Washington never allowed his Continentals to be trapped!

What an astonishing man was George Washington! How he inspired men throughout the war and then as the nation's first president. Amidst all that he did, convincing these men to step forward in the dead of winter, into another most-certain battle - THIS has to be among his greatest achievements. Thank you, Tara Ross!

We can pretend to be like American soldiers in the lines. What will General Washington do? What will tomorrow bring?

The second battle of Trenton is new to me. Washington certainly knew how to motivate the troops. Looking forward to the conclusion of this story tomorrow. You have left us hanging again, Tara. 😉 My guess is that he didn’t “bag the fox”.

Thank you Tara. Now we are in terrific suspense again, having to wait until tomorrow to see if General Cornwallis had bagged George Washington or if Washington escaped once again.

I believe that Providence was hard at work assisting George Washington as the enlistment period was ending and helping convince the overused and certainly underpaid American troops to extend their enlistment.

Perhaps that is why my own enlistment and that of my fathers during WW2 was for a period of time or for the duration.
