Yes, this story is very typical of the American attitude. When at rock bottom, the true american spirit rises up to get the job done.

What a wonderful job you have done in the telling of the story Tara.

In the midst of some of the most terrible hardships that our current generations can't fathom, this little horse from the wrong side of the tracks, proved to be the favorite of the American people. They desperately wanted Seabisquit to win and to prove that while down, there was hope to overcome the challenge and rise to the top. A perfect metaphor for the spirit of the American people. May we still possess that winning spirit. Thank you Tara.

Love the scene in the movie when the guy who would end up his trainer looked at Seabiscuit as he walked by and he felt that the horse saw him and felt like he was thinking what the hell are you looking at.
