Finally, the battle at Saratoga would mark the turning point of the war which would eventually secure our independence from Britain.

His terms for surrender were interesting to say the least. He was more worried about humiliation that was already exhibited than the fact of his abject failure and bad decisions.

It’s good to know that the Americans treated the British with respect and courtesy. Treating others as you’d like to be treated is an important attribute. It’s amazing how things fell together in the fight for American independence. Looking forward to the Surrender at Yorktown.
