It’s good to know that the Americans treated the British with respect and courtesy. Treating others as you’d like to be treated is an important attribute. It’s amazing how things fell together in the fight for American independence. Looking forward to the Surrender at Yorktown.

Interesting that Burgoyne was treated with such dignity when the history of his actions towards Patriots and civilians might have dictated otherwise.
