Military nurses have become a vital link to the military. I have read what nurses did in Vietnam to save many lives. The sacrifices of military nurses should be remembered as all military sacrifices. Let's remember nurses and soldiers that made the ultimate sacrifice as we approach Memorial Day.
Interesting story of women in the armed services, all branches back then didn't see the value of women. Today we take it for granted. What pioneering women indeed!! Fighting the system just to serve our country. Great insight to their struggles, thanks again Tara!
I was reminded this year of how essential nurses are for a successful hospital experience. Women are naturally more nurturing, a better fit nursing than men.
As a Navy Corpsman during the Vietnam War, I can imagine the resistance to the first Navy Nurses. It was a man's Navy until that time. Anyway, they persevered and eventually won their respect from the male Corpsmen and Physicians. Thank you Tara.
Those who navigate uncharted paths are heroes to our nation. These women proved that for the US Navy. Thanks Tara. 🙏❤️💪🇺🇲

My experience with Navy nurses has been that they are the best! The Sacred Twenty set a high standard that remains today.

Having been cared for by them more than once, they are invaluable to the Navy Marine Corps Team.
