MOH stories are always welcome here Tara. Thank you.

Rudolf Davila was certainly overlooked and while he was evidently overlooked for the Medal he eventually got to see his award for such brave action.

Let us hope that discrimination of awards is now a thing of the past.

As a WASP I totally agree with you. Heroism is blind to everyone.

Another great American story of going all out for his country! Davila certainly deserved the recognition and the Medal of Honor.

Oh that people today could understand the tremendous pride The Greatest Generation felt in their country. We, as a country, are not perfect, but a whole lot of people continue to come here because we are better than most of the alternatives.

Ssgt. Rudolph Davila surely demonstrated resolve to aid and support his fellow infantry men, even at great personal danger injury. There has been many others that have like that, but surely he is an amazing example himself.

It’s uplifting to read about our MOH recipients. It’s always good to know that a wrong was finally made right. This seemed to happen pretty frequently in the past. Happy that Rudolf Davila was recognized before he passed and knew his family would always be proud of that honor bestowed on him.
