Robert Patterson didn't remember the acts he performed while earning his MOH but he immediately cleaned up his act to keep from any dishonor to the Medal. MOH recipients are a very special few whose brave actions were recognized as worthy of the Medal. Mr. Patterson, in respect of the others who have received the Medal and as an example to all leads an exemplary life. Thank you Tara for another MOH Monday. Thank you to all who serve or have served and may God continue to bless this great nation.

Another humble hero! It’s admirable that part of the motivation is knowing others are depending on you as you are depending on them. Also the sentiment that every Medal of Honor recipient wears it for everyone who was there and especially for those who didn’t make it home safely. Amazing comment that it’s much harder to wear the ribbon than to earn it.
