Great story Tara. Thank you!

Bravery doesn't know Gender, does it?

Unfortunately our school system today does not teach enough American History, much less tell all these untold stories.

Loved this account of a very brave woman. We need to hear more stories about the women who made a difference with their courageous and selfless actions. I’m sure Rachel Silverthorn is one of many untold heroines. Thanks for bringing her story to our attention.

I think our major problem is infighting. So complex has our society gotten that most everyone is SO busy fighting their own demons that they forget to BE Americans. The generation who really remembers when despots tried to take over the world and murdered millions, in the 1940s, is themselves dying and taking their firsthand knowledge of evil with them. History is our only chance to survive. YOU Tara are today's Rachel Silverthorn.

Rachel Silverthorn displayed incredible courage. And as I wrote "courage", I am reminded of a more current man that said; 'courage is being scared to death, and saddling up to face it anyway'. We can wonder at the state of her emotions as she rode out.

Incredibly brave action in that time.

These are great patriots who rise above their circumstances to succeed at something greater than themselves!

Seems in every generation there arises a resistance that is responsible for hiding and saving men, women and children facing acts of oppression and terror. Courageous indeed and given her impulse to volunteer for the mission, I’m guessing that wasn’t her last rodeo.

Heard about this story but not the full details especially the Indians working with the British to kill settlers for pay. The instigation of the British knew no bounds. So much has contributed to our freedom.
