Thank you Tara. I prefer that you write of little known or documented skirmishes such as this one on Prudence Island, Rhode Island, in addition to your better known or documented stories.

Americans fought bravely to keep their homes and to secure their safety during the Revolutionary War. Our future freedom depended on the outcome of many battles, large and small and each deserves to see the light, thanks to you,Tara.

Thank you for another example of every day people rising to the challenge. Whether it was 1, or 15.πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‘

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ "Eventually, though, these sacrifices would ensure our freedom."

Some are still remembered, taught in schools, most are not.

Some are known to all, some we will never know of...but am very grateful for all of them.

Thank you for sharing them, TR! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²

You did an awesome job of making this an interesting lesson. Those who fount, lived and lost should be remembered. We owe them all for helping to secure independence. Thanks Tara for finding and sharing history with me and the others.

This story is just as important as the bigger more well known battles. These brave Americans did what they could for as long as they could. It’s a great part of our history. We have freedom because of every single person who fought for it. Thanks for telling what you know about these islands.

Another great historical moment by all of the people yet unnamed in history, that fought and sacrificed to gain their freedom from a tyrannical government. I believe that we are on the precipice of looking at another tyrannical government that we see in our own government. The action that I believe is called the executive order. Presidents in recent history have thousands of executive orders to bypass the legislative branches of our government. Our businesses have been closed, people have been made to wear masks, our military have been forced to inject untested poison into their bodies, our borders have been made wide open to all sorts of illegal activity and immigration, etc etc etc.

Our current President lies to us on an almost daily basis. How much longer will we tolerate this?

Our Founders would not have tolerated even half of what we put up with on a daily basis.

So much for the British attempts to win the hearts and minds of the people ! Adding fuel to the fire in the hearts of folks yearning for Freedom and Independence … horrible strategy almost guaranteed to fail .

Thanks for sharing , Tara - - great stuff as per your usual offerings ! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έβ€οΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ. πŸ‘Œ
