Washington was always cognizant of Providence. Oh that more of our leaders today would follow his example.

Yes, I agree that we need Divine Guidance next Tuesday. May we be guided to make the best choices and may God prevail to make this election safe and the outcome just and accepted by all. May our Republic be healed. Thank you Tara.

This quotation makes me wonder how many other "standing miracles" are in place for the nation and ourselves.

Can you ever fathom the impact 8 long years of conflict would have/had on a divided, fledgling nation? We can say the turmoil was isolated and sporadic, but the oppressive behemoth was always lurking, stalking and seeking an opportunity to break the backs of the rebellious.

And to know a sympathetic Loyalist segment of our society was willing to do anything and everything necessary to aid the enemy and thwart the independence movement.

It’s as though this election season we’re almost right back in the same place. Divided, contentious…

Very astute Jack in your observation of those Loyalists! I worked in fredericton, NB, Canada a few years back. What I found so interesting is the number of 'loyalists', those Colonists whose heart was with England, not America, and who migrated there in NB from the south. Enough of them to rename the city to Fredericton from its former name. (I went to Wickipedia to find the original name and found the following little clipit: ((It was in 1783, when United Empire Loyalists arrived from New England, that the history of modern Fredericton began). The following year, .... Pointe-Ste-Anne was renamed "Fredericstown", after Frederick, second son of King George III. It became the capital ... considered to have a better defensive position...

The streets (had) names reflecting loyalist tendencies: Charlotte, Brunswick, George, King, and Queen.

I agree that Divine Intervention is very much needed but not just on Election Day, but with early voting, mail-in voting and ballot harvesting, we need this whole season to be covered. Unfortunately I believe that Satan has been laying down his evil ways in this country for decades and God may now see us as another Sodom or Gomorrah. We Christians need to pray for restoration of the USA that He designed us to be and not allow the 1% of deviants to control our country any longer.

Pray, Pray, Pray yes, but action led by God is needed to Restore our Nation!

Father, we ask in the name of Jesus that all WILLFUL WORKERS OF WICKEDNESS

be removed from positions of power, prominence, and prestige.

Open the eyes of those being deceived and place people who stand for Your righteous cause in ALL places of government and influence.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Timely, as always.

Providence is needed because of the stakes, but also because too many voters will not research all of the other candidates on their ballots. It's not just the Presidency, but House of Representatives, 1/3 of the Senate, many state (in Texas, it's mostly judges, a few county) officials AND bonds, tax increases, etc.

We need to, truly, excercise our voting rights with diligence and though.

You're right, Tara. May Divine Providence watch over and care for our United States of America, especially next week.
