While the events at Nagasaki and Hiroshima brought the necessary allied victory it had bittersweet realities. America would march forward into progress and prosperity all the while looking over her shoulder to this day always watching out for it's enemies to strike. Relationships with Russia grew cold and our enemies were developing their own secret weapon.. Citizens would build air raid and nuclear fall out shelters, school children would practice nuclear attack drills, The march was on for leverage and power on the world stage.
The Japanese had their chance to end WWII PEACEABLY and chose not to do so!
Their decision cost them dearly!!
