Yes, "God bless this great country of ours". Thank you Tara.
I have not heard this story before but the reconstruction of a devastated Notre Dame was completed swiftly and the institution has flourished since. A testament to a determined founder.
I have visited the current campus on several occasions. one due to a work project and other times during football games. It is one of the most beautiful college campuses in this country. If I was going to go back to college that would be school I choose to go to.
Thank you Tara for this lesson. It proves attitude is a motivational quality that will move mountains to attain the goal. Of course there is the faith factor too.
Another interesting note on our history that I was not familiar with. Thank you for bringing little known facts to life. Important to know our country’s strengths, failures, good times, and stressful times. Thank you
That is a great story Tara. Ironically I was with the former Provincial of the Congregation of Holy Cross (CSC) which is the order of priests that run Notre Dame and my Alma Mater King's College in Wilkes-Barre PA. I knew about the fire but not in the detail that you just presented. Thank you very much !!!
Appreciate these accounts of what can be overcome with determination, perseverance and resolve. It’s also a lesson on how many others can be influenced for good by the courage of one person. Can we put out the fires that are consuming our country? Do we have what it takes to make the impossible possible? It’s going to take a miracle, but miracles happen every day. Thank you for another uplifting story, Tara.
I have hope every nite that things get better except last nite. Thanks for this message of how working together solves the problems before us. We will win. Maybe not soon but with the same perverence we will!
Only 10% of life is what actually happens to you; 90% is how you respond!
Truly!

Faith definitely made a difference too.
Great story of determination to put Notre Dame back together!
Thank uou Tara!
We're seeing something similar with the fire that destroyed Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, just not as fast.

Awesome! What we could do as a people of faith to resolve to rebuild and so quickly, sadly today you couldn't get the permits to rebuild that fast...
