Amen. Nurses are extremely important to the Military and as a Navy Corpsman during the Vietnam War, I was trained by Navy Nurses and I worked alongside them. I have great respect for the Nurses who serve and who provide very valuable medical services to their Military companions. Thank you Tara for remembering the Nurses in our Military.

Many of these ladies worked tirelessly and saved many lives both physically and mentally. They were all heroes in my opinion and deserved better treatment than was given them. ❤️

The nurses who served and still serve in the military should receive the same rewards for their service. Sometimes congress is so slow to do the right thing and so quick to do the wrong thing. It’s good that they finally got wise and recognized this special group of women.

Women are all so essential in every area of our Nation. They are given special gifts, strengths and intellects that contribute to our success whether it

be in the military or our civilian society. Glad to see the opportunities expand for them in the armed forces.

I have worked around hospitals for most of my working career. The best nurses I have ever worked with have been Navy nurses. To say this is not slight to other nurses, either! They are an amazing profession. But, did you know that nurses were at one time only men? In the 19th and early 20th century it was opened to women through Clara Barton who pretty much is the mother of modern nurses. Nursing is a tremendous profession and Navy nurses are the cream of the crop! Thank God for the Naval Nurses Corps!
