The last words attributed to Nathan Hale, whether he actually spoke them or not, surely portrayed what was in his heart. Without a doubt he was a patriot and loved his country. I choose to believe they were indeed his last words. It fits all we know about the man. I venture to say that most Americans are familiar at least with his name and his quote. You always add some unknown tidbits, Tara.
Nathan Hale, a brave American Patriot, gave his young life in an execution rather than to betray the newly declared free country of the United States of America.
His brave words are taught in primary schools even now. Thank you Tara.
I imagine that his last words were a great source of inspiration for American fighting men.
To have volunteered for that mission speaks volumes of Nathan Hale's resolve to be of service to the cause of liberty. The description of the manner that he faced his execution speaks just as much of his character.
A most famous patriot who willingly gave his life. His example showed the determination that all the patriots felt. The value of freedom for their nascent country was worth more than their individual lives. It seems more of that is needed today, more than we have seen in any news release. The press is more concerned with hurting people feelings than sharing patriotism.
Praise God for the many brave Patriots we had in establishing the United States of America. I pray that God will raise up more in our time as they are greatly needed to SAVE the USA NOW!
🇺🇲 Hale's life and actions give credence to his last words, not the other way around. 🇺🇸
Thanks, TR!
Nathan Hale, another hero Patriot facing death for Liberty from Tyrants!
What a brave young man!
Thank you Tara!
These are the men we need fighting &/or spying for us! 🇺🇸

Thank you Tara 😊 We were taught that phrase early in grade school 🏫 I wonder is it still taught today 🤔
Yeah, I wonder, but I kind of doubt it, unfortunately.
Yep I guess patriotism is a thing of the past 🤨🤔 God help us Tara 🙏🏼!
I wonder too. Somehow I don’t think the emphasis is on American history and patriotism. 😔
I believe you're right ✅️ 😌

If he didnt really say that, bet he was thinking it.. thanks Tara

I doubt if Nathan Hale's name appears in American History books anymore. If not, it would be a shame. He was definitely a Patriot and hero..
