Amazing that the revolution was won with such adversarial conditions among the fighting men. Must be that the passion for freedom must far outweigh the desire for material comfort. A passion that is innate and not at all manufactured
Imagine the dilemma faced by the soldiers and Congress when the nation was brand new and having to find resources to clothe, feed and pay the soldiers who were fighting for everyone's freedom. The government didn't have the ability to raise funds nor was food or clothing warehouses available. It was pure desire for freedom that furnished the glue to keep fighting without pay, food and clothes. Thank God for our forefathers. Thank you Tara.
