LCpl Keith had a mission to complete, keep his village and its people safe. At the risk of and finally, at the loss of his own life, he did succeed. He was a US Marine and he had taken an oath.

Outstanding young man! He deserves the greatest respect. It’s so heartbreaking that he didn’t survive. His brave actions saved many lives. Vietnamese and Americans alike owe him all honor. Wonderful that the Expeditionary Sea Base was also named after him.
What a tremendous American who made a difference in the face of certain and violent death. He made the difference in the lives of those he served and defended.
Though his actions took him from his body, he lives on with the rest of us for his effort and actions.
Not only devoted to his Country, the Marines and his Platoon, his personal integrity had him defend the Village he had become part of.
What an inspiration this brave young soldier was! RIP young hero!
