Thanks Tara for another great story of untold valor and dedication to his men! It is truly amazing how he survived these battles even wounded! The greatest generation produced so many men and women of untold bravery and love of country! When I see our flag being burn by ungrateful and hateful idiots my anger burns!!! So many gave all defending that flag and what it stands for throughout our history as a nation!!!! It wasn't about medals for them it was about love of country!!

What this guy did was awesome, but Audie Murphy trained on our farmland near Mineral Wells, TX; I'm going to support his claim. 😉

There is no need to declare either one of these brave soldiers more decorated than the other! They were both brave, selfless American heroes!

🇺🇸 To paraphrase Dick Winters, when asked if he was a hero in the war, Winters explained he was not, but he served with a company of heroes.

Reading your posts, that sounds about right.

Thanks, TR! 🇺🇲

Thank you Tara. I love this story about Col. Matt Urban. How he was able to keep himself into the fight and his leadership, despite repeated wounds is something of a miracle. He was a very gritty man. Thank God for men like Mr Urban and thank God for the Greatest Generation who kept us safe and free. I stand in awe of the American fighting forces and I salute all who have served or currently serve this great nation.

God Bless them all. Most decorated to the least decorated, it really doesn’t matter. Everyone signs the same contract to give their life to serve and protect the USA against all enemies, foreign or domestic. Some gave all, but all gave some.
