Mary Babnick Brown came from the Home of Heroes, Pueblo, Colorado. Pueblo is Home to more Medal of Honor recipients than any other city and this industrial town is extremely patriotic.

I find it to not be surprising that Ms. Brown did whether was needed in support of our nation. Whatever her hair may have been used for, one thing is certain, it was given with goodwill and with no strings attached.

Pueblo is a good town with good people. Thank you Tara. From a former resident.

Selfless. Patriotic. Generous. AMERICAN. This was so typical of that generation. The whole nation jumped into the war effort with both feet, doing what each individual could do. This still lives in our nation, but we don't have that impetus that brought this effort to the forefront. Those who remember 9/11 know this to be true and I firmly believe it lies quietly waiting to be roused once again. Don't let the press and the crazy left fool you, we are: Selfless. Patriotic. Generous. AMERICAN.

Another of the greatest generation who stepped up when asked and did what she could do and never asked for anything in return . Selfless courage and integrity to do what she could to help save the lives of young men + women she never knew ! This is what the American Dream was built on . Thank you Tara for a great story .
