Perhaps this heroine should be taught about in school. I know of several young ladies that may have been interested in serving their country had they learned about how women could serve their nation in times of war.

Lydia Darragh was very brave for her actions during the Revolutionary War and she certainly deserves recognition. I am certain that "the wall had ears" on many occasions as the Patriot civilians were often unknown and among the British.

Providence played a large hand in the fight for our freedom and independence.

Thank you Tara.

Thank you, Tara, for this story I had never heard of before concerning a Peaceful Lady who saved the lives of countless Patriots by taking action against the tyranny that surrounded her!

Thank you Tara!

God had (mysteriously) made a way for the NEW Americans to succeed in overcoming the secrets of the enemy.

As the old adage states, “Your sins will find you out!”

The King of England was not to be the King of America. [Old King George must have been mortified by the failings of his attacks on the new colony of America,]. His secret attacks upon Washington’s rebellions, were not a secret to the freedom fighters ‘little angels’ that were on duty!

I don’t like to quote this modern person but in this case it fits…”it takes a village”. Luv a courageous woman and during the Revolution there were many. Thanks Tara.

Lydia Darraugh was brave and smart. She’s a credit to the female gender. I’m guessing her husband was very proud of her. Thanks for highlighting the important role women played in the fight for freedom, Tara.

She probably was a pacifist but when it came to her son she did what most mothers would do! Pacifist or not. Thank you Tara 😊 💓
