Tara if you don't mind could you repost this next year on Nurses Day May 6, 2024. Capt. Keil embodies the practice & profession of nursing. As a registered nurse of 40 years this has got to be one of the best stories shared. Love it. Angie

Captain Keil is a beautiful example of a strong and caring woman. What an amazing lady! She accomplished so much and lived to tell about it. I’m sure every life she helped save never forgot her tender heart.

Thank you Tara. Captain Keil had nerves of steel. That many flights in dangerous war zones would challenge anyone's fortitude, yet she persevered through two wars.

God bless Lillian Kinkella Keil for her skill and repeated bravery in the face of mortal danger.

The women had to be just a tough as the men to get through world war II. The books I have read about the nurses in these combat areas are just incredible. I would also recommend the books about the nurses on Batan. Again they are called the greatest generation for a reason, they earned it! I believe I'll have to look up that movie Flight Nurses.
