It’s amazing how flying started! Two men with grit and determination brought what they had only imagined into reality. Look at far we’ve come with our American ingenuity. The Wright brothers’ story is very familiar. Thank you for including more details, Tara.

Nice reminder and good history lesson. The quote “it is possible to fly without motors, but not without knowledge and skill” made me immediately think of pilot Captain “Sully” Sullenburger who made an emergency landing in the Hudson River, saving the lives of all passengers and crew. I bet he would agree ! Thanks, Tara !

The aviation bug bites hard. Once in the blood it's hard to shake it. I feel privileged to follow in the footsteps of the Wrights and all the other aviation pioneers. As an aside its amazing to think that the first flight wasn't even as long in distance as the wingspan of the Boeing 747. We've come a long way in a relatively short amount of time.

Thank you Tara. Wilbur and Orville Wright. Two American men who believed that powered flight is possible and they were able to accomplish what others had failed to achieve. So much has happened since then because they didn't give up.
