It’s inspiring to read the accounts of the people who are not well known, but had a significant effect on the outcome of our nation. Men and women who we hear little or nothing about were willing to lose even their own lives for so great a cause. We are very familiar with Paul Revere, but not so much with Joseph Warren. Where would we be if not for there patriots? Thanks, Tara, for telling Joseph Warren’s story. It’s an important one.
I sometimes wonder how many Patriots would we have today willing to sacrifice their lives for the protection of our freedom. It seems that we are so willing to give up our freedom to government mandates that take our freedoms away little by little every day. Like sheep led to the massacre the American people today so easily give into the government mandates signed into law by the (King) President without consent of Congress. How long will “We the People” stand by and do nothing?
I’ve played it over in my mind several times. I can imagine Americans uniting in armed rebellion agains a foreign invader, but I cannot imagine how a struggle against domestic enemies would work. Consequently, other than at the ballot box, there’s no stopping the current crud happening in America…
I can see your point / but we cannot surrender suggestion: Look into what the framers gave us via Article V of the Constitution to reduce federal govt overreach that they foresaw and gave us these tools to use
How?

Thank you Tara for telling the story of another true Patriot, Dr. Joseph Warren. Dr. Warren's involvement and leadership of the rebellion against British rule was remarkable. His wish to fight as a private at the Battle of Bunkers Hill instead of as the Major General he was, assured his own death, but also demonstrated his deep commitment to the cause of liberty. God bless Dr. Warren and all who fought for our freedom and independence from tyrannical rule.
He seemed to be a man who was used to living life on the edge. The small pox epidemic, the articles published that drew the ire of the authorities, the association with other men noted for their involvement in the American cause. What happened was tragic, but not surprising. He certainly gave his all, but that seems to the only way that he knew how to give.
Warren knew that slavery to the British crown was being imposed upon the American colonies and understood that his participation in the cause after writing so influentially against the British subjugation required his own participation in this dangerous effort. To do otherwise for him would have gone contrary to his writing and would have left them hollow and without depth of conviction. Warren also understood that he needed to active in this battle because it was his home turf he was defending and was willing to fight. His loss was great to the cause and is precious to us today as Tara Ross so succinctly brings his memory to the fore. Thanks for your work, Tara Ross. We owe much gratitude to Joseph Warren, his family, and community.
The statement above is what a real patriot would say and do. We lost a great man at Bunker Hill. Can you imagine what he would have accomplished. thanks for this story. His name and perhaps his sons as well contributed to this great nation. Another story for history.
Dr. Warren was an amazing patriot, and maybe even an early spy for the cause? He had access to the governors and military generals early on. I often wonder how he would have helped the cause as a general in the Continental army if he hadn't died so early in the war. Love these stories Tara!
I am always amazed that there are no statues of lesser known revolutionaries. For example, there are no statues of Thomas Paine. And he was instrumental in the cause of freedom
Dr. Joseph Warren had so much to lose, but then freedom came calling, and he was willing to speak out, fight for it, and paid the ultimate sacrifice. He did die a hero. I hope his children and the generations after have flourished from the price he paid. What an honor it would be to be in his family tree. Thank you, Tara, for yet another story I did not know about. I hope there are more “Taras” out there even now writing the next generation of elementary, middle, and high school history curriculums.

The Convention of the States opens a real can of worms, but maybe it’s time. I like a more controlled event…

I know there is a special place in Heaven for the Patriots!
The heroes of our Revolution are so often forgotten. Thanks for this memory, Tara.
Thank you, Tara.
🇺🇸 Dr. Warren, a true American Patriot we should not forget.
Thanks, TR 🇺🇲
Joseph Warren should be remembered for his willingness to put all at risk for freedom. His sacrifice must not be forgotten! 🇺🇸
Wow!🇺🇸✌️🇺🇸✌️
