Once again, a hero thinks nothing of conquering his fear to achieve a greater good goal! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

1st Lt. John Joseph Tominac was a hero by any standard. His brave leadership was amazing and his actions undoubtedly saved the lives of his troops as well as his own.

That he had to combat his fear in order to continue proves his determination and his humanity. And, his statement that he was just doing his job and not doing anything special proves his heroism. His MOH was just and well deserved.

God bless the Greatest Generation and may God continue to bless Mr. Tominac and all who have served or currently serve this great nation. Thank you Tara for another MOH Monday.

A real leader going before his men. Typical attitude of the greatest generation. Like others before and after him 1st Lt. Tominac was thinking of his soldiers and the goal and in spite of fear fought through it. Thank you , Tara, for another inspirational Medal of Honor story.

You were right.

Tominac’s β€˜actions’ would have made a Great War movie. I’m thinking, β€œWho could have played the lead in the 30 minute attack, while standing atop an unmanned tank?”

Tominac saw the levity in his acts on the tank!

((Maybe Colonel Sherman T. Potter, from the 4077th M.A.S.H. ))
