So very true, Tara! Kelly rightfully deserved the CMH, but like so many others felt he was just doing his job. How many others, both in the military and as civilians have given so much without much more than a thank you? Praise to all our day-to-day heroes!

Yes! They should all be remembered even the ones who are less known or who are nameless. John Joseph Kelly exemplifies all our American heroes. He was humble. Fighting for “God and country”. Felt undeserving even after being so brave. I love that he thought of giving his mother his ribbon understanding the worry she had endured on his behalf. A good man. So thankful for all our military men and women and the families who support them. MOH posts are my favorites, Tara.
