Another tear jerker. I was really hoping that Corporal Jason Dunhams theory would save his life. A Kevlar Helmet is not the tool for surviving a grenade blast. However, it does save the lives of the surrounding people. For Corporal Dunhams quick action, he saved the lives of his fellow troops while being awarded the MOH, posthumously for his brave actions.

His desire to extend his tour of Iraq duty so his fellow Marines make it home to their families turned out to be reality as, he will spend eternity in Iraq. God bless you Mr. Dunham and God bless all who serve or have served to protect this great nation. Thank you Tara for another MOH Monday.

Too bad he didn't have the opportunity to throw the terrorist on top of the grenade. R.I.P Hero.

Mundane conversations??? This is not a discourse on weather anomalies. We need to remember the insane amount of danger our young warriors face and the joy of seeing them return home.

These stories make my heart hurt, but also swell with pride. Men like Jason Dunham give their lives for the lives of others. Nothing more noble than that.

Wow! What an amazing story. Taking on a hand grenade in any fashion is always a risky decision. Unfortunately his decision ultimately cost him his life but saved his fellow Marines. RIP and Simper Fi.
