Sgt. 1st Class, Jared C. Monti posthumously was awarded the MOH for his bravery in action during an attack in Afghanistan. He and his task force were operating in extreme terrain when they were attacked.

Like so many before him, Monti was attempting to rescue a wounded team member when he lost his own life.

Sgt Monti and his patrol were doing what American forces were doing since the Revolutionary War, providing continued freedom for the citizens of the United States of America. While this action seems so remote and distant, it proves that American Heroes still exist and they continue to fight for us.

May God continue to bless Mr Monti and all who have served or currently serve this great nation. Thank you Tara for another MOH Monday.

Making your peace with God and moving forward for your comrade is the most honorable actions one in service performs. RIP Jarad Monti. You are a hero among the greatest heroes. Thank you Tara.
