Another great example that MOST of the real heroes are NOT politicians and military officers...the real heroes were just regular people, following their hearts, dreams, and beliefs!! Thanks for today's lesson Tara!!πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‘πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

There was a lot of animosity between the Loyalists and Patriots of SC, GA, & NC. Events such as this deepened those feelings. In the end, the Patriots persevered and the British took most of the Tories with them when they left. Great article, Tara! Thank you!

Thank you Tara. Men like Mr. Screven sacrificed their lives willingly and some even under very cruel circumstances so that we might have the nation that we inherited from their sacrifices.

We owe our way of life to all who have died for our country and they deserve to have their names known to us.
