Incredible. Amazing. Plucky. Selfless. Honor. These are just a few of the words this morning that come to mind. The way he stood up to the enemy and the numbers he took out speak to his character and determination. He was, and is, inspirational. RIP, sir. A job well done.
So many died protecting our freedoms. Harold H. Moon was one of them. It’s important to hear all their stories and to share their stories with every American especially the younger generations. The life we enjoy in America came at a great cost. If we are to keep it we need to fight for it and elect men and women who are willing to fight to keep it too on our behalf. They need backbone, strength of character and courage like Mr. Moon and others like him. Let’s hope we’ll turn a corner this election.
Put. Harold H. Moon was awarded the MOH after he gave his life during an extremely intense night of fighting the enemy, nearly singlehandedly. His is another story of another member of the Greatest Generation who performed heroicly in service of his nation. God bless Pvt. Harold H. Moon and all who have served or currently serve this great nation. Thank you Tara for another MOH Monday.
To read about the bravery + valor men + women of the greatest generation had and I’m alive today because of their selfless acts and dedication to duty ! We of today owe more than a debt of gratitude we must honor their courage every day or we are doomed to fail as a society . The heroism of these people should be mandatory reading in public schools all the time ! Thank. You Tara for this story of the ALL AMERICAN HERO , the kid next door .
Pvt. Harold Moon gave his last full measure. He stood fearlessly in the face of our enemy; and apparently he stood alone. I never will disparage in any way the courage and fearlessness of our warriors that answered the call. I’m 67 and blessed to have never been called to duty. Yet, when I read some tributes to our MOH recipients I wonder, historically, how things may have been different on that day had others would have also answered the final call. Why is there only one called to face certain sacrifice for many others.
This story just breaks my heart. How was even possible for Pvt. Moon to keep fighting against those odds? RIP is absolutely right. God took home that day another warrior to serve with St. Michael.
By the way, he, and many others died for the rights and privileges we have today. Early voting has begun. Today, exercise that privilege and go vote !
👍👍👍
Not in all states. But definitely vote.
Way above and beyond the call for Private Moon. Tara you keep presenting heroes who are amazing and awesome in how they loved their Brothers in Arms.

🇺🇲 Bravery, honor, sacrifice are simple to say,but much harder to live, especially in battle, when you know the odds and enemy are overwhelming.
Rest in Peace, Pvt. Moon. 🇺🇸
Thank you Pvt Moon for your courage and bravery not to mention your tenacity in the face (literally) of the enemy.
