One of my parents favorites and a hero as well. Men like Glenn Miller were not uncommon during WW2.

Many celebrities volunteered or were drafted for service and they served willingly and proudly. I don't think that the Hollywood elite were as political left as today.

At any rate, God bless Glenn Miller and all of the Greatest Generation. Thank you Tara.

Glen Miller, while he did not fight, gave his all so that we could be free.

40 years after he died, our jazz ensemble performed “In the Mood” on a frequent basis to the cheers of our classmates.
