Happy birthday Glenn Martin, belatedly. Mr. Martin clearly saw the military use of the airplane and he obviously was a visionary and entrepreneur. Thank God for people like the Wright Brothers, Mr. Martin and Mr. Boeing. Thank you Tara.

This was a great story today, Tara. I, too, grew up in California, and all these names were everyday work words around the table at evening meals. Mom worked in the space program when it was developing, Uncles and cousins all worked at different places in aero-industry. Rocketdyne was on top of the hills in Simi Valley/Canoga Park and when they fired up the test engines at night it was an amazing site. Thanks for a great story on how this went from the Wright Brothers to Space Stations!

Lots of familiar names through the 60's and 70's where I grew up in California. Among them was Lockheed Martin, McDonnel Douglas, Rockwell, Boeing, Raytheon etc. Lot's of good jobs that prospered many families thanks to entrepreneurship and a vision for the future
