That question is never more relevant than it is today. Prideful ambition vs. an attitude of public service. We are seeing the consequences of that being played out today.

Thank you Tara. No, I can not imagine what would have happened had John Hancock been appointed Commander in Chief instead of George Washington. Thank God that John Adams worked for Washington's appointment and Thank God that George Washington accepted the job.

Providence ordained the outcome of the war and protected George Washington as Commander in Chief and as our first president of the United States of America.

John Hancock may not have had the humility and determination of Washington and God may not have helped guide and protect him as with George Washington.

Thank you Tara and thank God for George Washington and for the United States of America.
