Would that we had more George Clymers - men of patriotic bent rather than personal gain!

I was thinking the same thing. If only we had someone of his type in the White House and more in Congress.

A great patriot! It’s the first time I remember hearing about him. He went through a lot, but was never deterred from his goals. He obviously believed in making and keeping a free nation. The freedoms we enjoy today are a direct result of Clymer and men like him. We could sure benefit from men like him today.

Mr. Clymer is a forerunner to the many men and women working behind the scenes to preserve our liberty and freedoms today. Many are being intimidated as well, but they soldier on. Thank you Mr. Clymer for setting the pace.

Really good read as always Tara. To many people do not appreciate or even realize what our fore fathers did and endured to create this country. Still with all our faults the best in the world

We need more men (people) like Clymer who served to give to his country, not to take from his country like so many do today! Great story Tara!

Thank you Tara. I hope that your home emergency repairs are going well. Mother Nature has her own rules.

So, George Clymer was a "useful" man. He devoted himself to be useful in the creation and development of this great nation by serving in many capacities. It seems that he was one of the busiest people during that time. He was a manager with a vision and, I am thankful for his efforts.

Yes, everything is moving along. The carpet is dry, and my closet is CLEAN for the first time in a week. Totally made my day. (Okay, it's clean as long as you don't look UP to the hole in the ceiling. LOL.) Thanks for asking.
