How sad that he never got to see his daughter grow up and perhaps become the father of more children but oh, what a legacy he left. It is plain his wife and family were not only proud of his actions but that they made sure the generation to come was also. America can be so proud of him and others like him who gave their all to protect and defend. Thankyou for sharing his story, Tara, even though it made me tear up.
These selfless acts of valor need to be shared and celebrated with a wider audience in America. The daily focus on what’s troubling us all should be redirected towards positive change as these sacrifices for freedom can remind us they were not carried out in vain.
God bless you, SSgt Frankie Molnar for your service and your sacrifice. Only the special few are awarded the MOH and the Medal awarded to Frankie Molnar was special as he chose to give his life for his men and his country. May God bless all who served and all who serve now and in the future to protect the United States of America. Thank you Tara for another MOH Monday.
No greater sacrifice is there than to lay down your life for your friends, His sacrifice was also great for his family his daughter would never know her father, just what he did. She was proud as she shared her dad's love with her children.
He was destined to become a hero. SSgt Molnar and his grandson both get an A. Thank you, Tara, you just made my Monday cup of coffee a little sweeter. America is greater.
What a marvelous thing that Sgt. Molnar’s grandson honored his grandfather in such a great way. Obviously his mother and other family members kept his memory alive for his grandson. It’s always touching to read about our Medal of Honor recipients and how selflessly they served others…many giving their own lives. Truly a special man who deserves the gratitude of all Americans.
S/Sgt Molnar threw himself on a grenade giving his life to save the lives of those around him!
What a hero this young father was!
Thank you, Tara, for this story of the selflessness and the ultimate sacrifice given by this young man!

I'll always be in the group who would cover the 🍍 🍍 🍍 with my helmet, or throw it back. They ought to train them to do this!
