If your Christianity doesn't influence your politics, you're doing both wrong.

I don't know why. I do know if we don't return to these sentiments, we will go the path of the Roman Empires.

Thank you Tara for this timely lesson.

Remember, one of the reasons for the demise of the Roman Empire was too many people on the public dole.

I tend to agree 👍

The founders are most likely spinning in their grave at our current political situation. In our current environment JFK would be a conservative republican.

This Nation was created on the entire belief of Christian and God’s morality. Anyone that doesn’t fully understand and believes that, then they have never read and understand all if our founding documents and comminations written by our founding fathers regarding the establishment of our Republic.

I have refused to discuss this matter with people that insist this isn’t true and that there is no such thing as God. I simply state that i refuse to enter into an intelligent discussion with someone that isn’t qualified due to a lack of a brain on there part. They usually decide it is time for them to leave.

Ha ! That is a great response. We can’t have an intelligent debate when some had a closed mind and refuses to see the wonders of the world around them.

Great question Tara. We have strayed so far because we are in the end times

John Adams, for instance, once observed that “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

Those who would attempt to subvert the Constitution through the abuse of political power while having sworn to it’s preservation are themselves immoral. Politics and power are their Constitution. Perhaps that is why they want to rid us of it. In any case they are not qualified and should be disqualified.

Why have we strayed? All organizations drift to the Left, if left to their own devices. It takes awareness and perseverance to stay the right course.

Thank you Tara. We need reminding that we are a nation of believers in a Supreme being. In my case, I believe in my Lord and God, thru my savior, Jesus Christ and I pray that we regain our footing as a religious nation. I have liked and shared this on our national day of prayer.

When we decided to throw out the Creator of all we see and hear, our downfall began.

It is a fact that our Nation was founded on Judean & Christian principles, Not a Religious government but of people who shared these values. How far we have fallen, how great our problems...

Why the change? It came about gradually, one little change at a time. The constant push on TV, movies, books, pushing the limits little by little. The advent of the "pill" and the sexual revolution. The lawsuits against prayers in schools...Hollywood embracing and pushing porn..change in parenting. Can we recover? Or will California, Portland, Seattle become the norm.

At one time in the United States it was not uncommon to express faith in Divine Providence…a belief in the creator of our world. But by today’s standards much of that sentiment has either greatly diminished or disappeared altogether. In the past our leaders all spoke freely about God, but there are some who completely ignore or dismiss it from their lives. We made a mistake shutting it out of our schools. Sometimes the darkest days bring us to a better place. It seems that after coming so close to death the former president has become much more spiritually minded. We are all humans and just because we have faith doesn’t mean we are perfect. We are a work in progress. Having faith in God helps to change our thinking and our behavior. Unfortunately evil is evident all around us so we need to be extra vigilant. President Kennedy did a great thing for our country when he declared a National Day of Prayer. Prayer is the bedrock of faith.

Yes, excellent question, Tara. And it is because we are entering the last days in which satan’s bonds are loosed. See 2 Timothy 3:1-9. Written by the Apostle Paul to Timothy while he awaited his death in prison - nearly 2000 years ago.
