We all too often don't see the full story of any action. This one was quiet for so very long. Kudos to the family member who stepped forward and searched out the answers and praise to PFC Mason for his brave actions.

What PFC Leonard "Foster" Mason accomplished singlehandedly was almost superhuman and as his sister said, he was taking care of his platoon just as he learned from his large family.

I thank God for people like Mr. Mason, who selflessly sacrifice themselves in order to protect their "family ". I thank God for all who have served or serve this great Nation. Thank you Tara for another MOH Monday.

Only the men who were there that day could fully share what Pfc. Mason accomplished. It’s great that his niece researched to get the whole story. There was so much more to know. His heroic actions cost him his life and saved the lives of his platoon. Another true American hero.

America’s sacrifices over the years have been great. The MOH Mondays exemplifies our losses of some of our bravest of all the brave America has produced of those brave souls that sacrificed but their stories have never been told, yet not forgotten.

PFC Mason performed above and beyond to earn his MOH. As Jesus taught us there is no great sacrifice than to die so others may live. RIP PFC Mason. Semper Fidelis Marine!

Reminds me of the saying "True Grit". He sure had it from the start of life. He showed those in the machine gun nests what for. Stop killing my buddies. RIP Hero. You are a tribute to those who wear the Medal of Honor.

Thank you Tara.
